Here is a picture of the always frightening Eiger (or Aiger) applying a clawhold to the always beautiful Takako Inoue.
In case you didn't know, Eiger is actually joshi wrestler Mizuki Endo.

Kana in the Ring - Japanese Female Wrestlers
You know how I always say on this blog, "When in doubt, post Kana"?
Well sadly I was in doubt and didn't know what to post.
So...Kana of course.
So here are just some random shots of Kana mixing it up in the ring.

I thought at first it was Madusa, but the lady in the hold is too...ummm.."small" I think.
And she looks like she's wearing a one piece from GLOW.
Update: It's Heidi Lee Morgan
Now below, this IS a picture of Madusa aka Alundra Blayze getting flattened by Bull.

Well.
Thanks to YouTube, I have had to totally redo this entire post.
It seems they deleted every single video that I had put here.

Anyway, I went back into YouTube (which I am sure I will regret doing later) and got the top five most popular Japanese Female Wrestling videos there.
Watch them while you can before YouTube takes them down again....

Manami Toyota Wrestling Kyoko Inoue
Here is Manami Toyota taking on Kyoko Inoue from March 31st, 1996.
You know...I know both Manami and Kyoko are highly skilled athletes, but when I saw Manami going to the ring at the beginning of the video, the only thing I could thing was "My God...her hair is beautiful!"
Anyway, both of these women are Joshi legends.
Manami made her pro wrestling debut in 1987...
and Kyoko debuted the next year in 1988.

This match is a sequel to Manami and Kyoko's match in 1995, which won the Wrestling Observer Match of the Year.
And this match takes off like a rocket with a missed dropkick, a giant swing and a kiwi roll all in rapid succession.
Coming up from that, they go into the classic test of strength...
Which leads into Kyoko unleashing an array of submission moves on Manami...

Nagisa Nozaki Wrestling Syuri
Well guess what?Yep...this is yet ANOTHER video that YouTube has deleted.
Thanks YouTube!
So all there is left is the screen caps.
Nagisa started wrestling when she was 15, and has been plagued by injuries.
This was Nagisa's return match, her first since 2009 when she injured her shoulder.
She's five foot five and weighs 123 pounds.
You may know her opponent Syuri as Karate Girl (KG) from the old HUSTLE wrestling promotion.
She wrestles, but throws some MMA into her matches as well.
First up. Syuri enters the ring...

Followed by Nagisa who doesn't look near as serious...
They shake hands and everything looks okay...
Till Nagisa blindsides Syuri and lays into her with a series of vicious chops...
She goes for a quick pin...
Syuri kicks out, but soon finds herself in a sleeper...
She gets up, but Nagisa follows her, keeping the hold clamped on.See how much Nagisa seems to be enjoying herself?
Syuri gets fed up, escapes and lays into Nagisa with a series of roundhouse kicks...
Sorry it's gone but you can thank YouTube.

Ayumi Kurihara Vs Mai Ichii - Japanese Wrestling
Here is a match between Mai Ichii and Ayumi Kurihara, posted on Veoh
Ayumi Kurihara was born on July 13th, 1984 in Tokyo, Japan and was trained by Mariko Yoshida, AKINO, Michiko Ohmukai and GAMI.She made her pro wrestling debut on April 24, 2005 and has worked for wrestling promotions like AtoZ, M's Style, NEO, JWP, Jd', Ibuki and Pro Wrestling SUN.
Mai Ichii was born on March 21st, 1980 in Saitama, Japan.Besides being a wrestler, she is a MMA fighter with a 4-4-0 record.
This match starts off with Ayumi taking the offensive with a series of drop kicks that some of which I swear look pretty "stiff" to me.
After pummeling the fool out of Mai, Ayumi straddles her and clamps on a camel clutch.Mai manages to bite her way out of it....yes...bite.
Undaunted, Ayumi turns and clamps on a double toe hold which Mai tries to unsuccessfully bite her way out of.
Failing the biting escape, Mai makes the ropes and opens up with a few dropkicks of her own.Getting Ayumi down, she goes for a leg lock which Ayumi reverses.
Mai escapes, there’s another flurry of moves and Ayumi comes out on top with a headlock.Watch Ayumi Kurihara vs. Mai Ichii (2/3/06) in Sports | View More Free Videos Online at Veoh.com

Kana vs Kyoko Kimura - Japanese Women Wrestlers
Yes ladies and gentlemen once again a video that was removed by YouTube.
This one was an old video of Kana wrestling Kyoko Kimura.
As far as I can tell all that is left is these screen caps.
Sorry about that.
Kana comes in first, followed by Kyoko, and amazingly they don't jump each other before the bell.
_1279727188528.jpg)
But when the bell rings, they race at each other and start out "hammer and tongs".
_1279727316368.jpg)
Kana gets a take down, goes for a leg lock and unable to secure that, dives up and goes for a front face lock that Kyoko escapes.
_1279727372263.jpg)
Back on their feet, Kana starts landing those amazing roundhouses.
_1279729786337.jpg)
Kana then nails Kyoko with a few knees, then slips around her for a sleeper.
_1279727547832.jpg)
Kyoko supplexes her way out of that, and they start back with the kicks, elbows, fists and slaps.
_1279727606298.jpg)
Back on the mat, Kana locks in an arm bar.

Japanese Mixed Wrestling - Shuri and Hajime Ohara Vs Lin Byron and KUSHIDA
This video is a little different for this blog; it's a mixed wrestling match with Shuri and Hajime Ohara taking on Lin Byron and KUSHIDA.
It was posted on YouTube by HybridDolphinELPS.
Almost the whole first clip is the intros, but when the action starts, it’s Hajime Ohara taking on Lin Byron.
Yes, the female volunteers to take on the male.

You know how here in the US in the WWE, when a female wrestlers runs up against a male wrestler, suddenly she appears to lose every bit of wrestling knowledge she has and turn basically into a limp rag doll?
The male (usually a heel) just pounds her from ring post to ring post no matter how good of a wrestler the female is.
Well this isn’t the case in Japan.
Yeah Hajime gets in a few good shots at the beginning, but then Lin roars back with a flying head scissors that sends him out of the ring, and Lin follows up with a dive off the top turnbuckle.

But Lin gets back in the ring and starts showboating with her back to Hajime.
No...that doesn’t end well.

But, despite Hajime's size and weight advantage, he can't seem to compensate for Lin's speed and acrobatics as she keeps turning the tables on him time and time again.
