Io Shirai - Japanese Women Wrestling

Female Japanese wrestler Io Shirai has come a long way since I started following her and her sister (Mio Shirai) back in 2009.
Io has worked for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), Pro Wrestling Zero1, Ice Ribbon, NEO Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling, Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), World Wonder Ring Stardom and even showed up on Lucha Underground.

And there is a rumor that she might be signing with the WWE like her former team mate Kana (aka Asuka).

Masumi Arakawa - Japanese Women Wrestling

masu-me (or Masumi Arakawa) was born on July 9th, 1988 in Utsunomiya, Tochigi, Japan.
She started her wrestling training in September of 2010 (which is kinda late for Joshi) and made her in-ring debut on December 23rd, 2010 in Korakuen Hall at JWP Climax 2010 against KAZUKI.
masu-me is also a singer, which harkens back to the old days of Joshi with the "singer/wrestlers".

Japanese Female Wrestler Devil Masami

Devil Masami, female wrestling

Here is an old picture I found of legendary Japanese female wrestler Devil Masami on the Box y Lucha forum posted by hugo999.
Masami had a long joshi career that spanned from 1978 to her retirement in 2008.
And as you can see, her fame wasn't limited to just Japan.

Devil was the All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling (AJW) Champion, the WWWA World Heavyweight Champion, the AAAW Singles Champion and held the AAAW Tag Team Championship with Aja Kong, the JWP Open Weight Singles Champion, and the JWP Tag Team Champion three times with Dynamite Kansai, Hikari Fukuoka and Cutie Suzuki.
She was also inducted into the AJW Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996.
