Joshi may not be as hot as it once was in Japan, but there's one place it's still pretty hot here in the US....Shimmer.
Shimmer Women Athletes has been bringing some of the best female wrestlers in Japan over here for awhile now.
Tons of Japanese stars like Leon, Ray, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Tomoka Nakagawa, Ayako Hamada, Ayumi Kurihara and Kana have all worked for Shimmer.
And Hiroyo Matsumoto and Misaki Ohata (Seven Star Sisters), Tomoka Nakagawa, Ayako Hamada and Ayumi Kurihara have all held titles in the promotion.
Okay Seven Star Sisters only held theirs for a day but still.....

Results for IBUKI "Extra" on May 4, 2009
Results for IBUKI "Extra" on May 4, 2009 at Itabashi Green Hall, Tokyo, Japan.

Tomoka Nakagawa defeated SENDAI Girl's Yukari Ishino in 9:37 with the CRB.

Ray over SENDAI Girl Hiren in 11:59 with a Moonsault Press.

Misaki Ohata wrestled SENDAI Girl's DASH Chisako to the 20 minute time limit resulting in a draw.
THEN 5 more minutes were out on the clock, and they still went to another draw.
When's the last time you saw a 25 minute match with the WWE Divas that went to a draw?

Ray - Female Japanese Wrestlers

I couldn't find out a lot about Ray other than she wrestles for S-Ovation/IBUKI.
And she's 5'4" and 128 pounds.
And that she wrestles in this really cool looking Lucha Libre/Arabian Knights looking outfit.
For more info on S-Ovation/IBUKI, check out their website at http://s-ovation.com/wrestling/english.html
