Five foot five Miyu Yamashita is a Japanese female wrestler currently working for Tokyo Joshi Pro.
She was born in Fukuoka, Japan on March 17, 1995.
Miyu was trained at Dramatic Dream Team Dojo and made her in ring debut on August 17th, 2013.

Japanese wrestler Io Shirai has wrestled on the Independent circuit in Japan, was a part of Team Makehen, a member of Triple Tails, wrestled (and trained) in Mexico worked for World Wonder Ring Stardom and was almost a WWE Diva last year.

Female Japanese wrestler Tam Nakano is five foot two and was born in Aichi, Japan in 19??
She made her wrestling debut on July 18th, 2016.

Female Japanese wrestler Io Shirai has come a long way since I started following her and her sister (Mio Shirai) back in 2009.
Io has worked for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), Pro Wrestling Zero1, Ice Ribbon, NEO Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling, Asistencia AsesorÃa y Administración (AAA), World Wonder Ring Stardom and even showed up on Lucha Underground.
And there is a rumor that she might be signing with the WWE like her former team mate Kana (aka Asuka).
I used to say, "When in doubt post Kana."
But now it seems like the most popular lady here is the legendary Mimi Hagiwara.
So here is basically just a Mimi Hagiwara picture dump.

This beautiful young lady is Japanese female wrestler Saki Akai.
Saki works for Dramatic Dream Team aka DDT Pro-Wrestling in Japan and has been wrestling since August 2013.
At five foot eight, 116 pounds she is hardly a "monster", but this woman that has been compared to Chinese supermodel Lin Chi-ling takes bumps in the ring like all the Japanese wrestlers do.
I can't imagine someone like WWE Diva Eva Marie taking the beatings that she does.

This young lady is a bit different for this blog. Although she is Joshi through and through...she was born in the US. Kristina Hernandez was born on August 12, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois. She is a photographer, voiceover talent and pro wrestler in Japan. Kris started out as a freelance photographer in San Francisco, California. After living a year and a half in Japan, she saw a Stardom match on YouTube and was hooked. She was trained by Fuka Kakimoto, and in 2014, she debuted as Kris Wolf. This makes her the first foreigner to start out with a Japanese wrestling promotion and enter women's professional wrestling in Japan.
Japanese female wrestler Hamuko Hoshi was born on October 19th, 1982 in Iwamizawa, Hokkaido.
She works for the Ice Ribbon promotion and makes appearances for the World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana promotion.
Hamuko was trained by Ice Ribbon founder Emi Sakura and made her wrestling debut on April 12th, 2008.
She is the ICE×∞ Champion (she defeated defeated Aoi Kizuki), she has held the International Ribbon Tag Team Championship (4 times), the IW19 Championship and won the 4th 19 O'Clock Girls ProWrestling Tournament.
Hamuko also held the Reina World Tag Team Championship with Hailey Hatred.
The Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki) in the WWF.
These two held the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship at one time.
They actually held it for 136 days.

You know how much I love Japanese wrestler Kana?
Well here is something that further cemented that love.
You know who Yoshihiro Tajiri is right?
Well he's just TAJIRI in SMASH now (and obviously loves all caps).
Anyway, before Tajiri became a pretty much running gag in the WWE, he was a pretty bad man in ECW.
Here is Tajiri at the SMASH 21 Press Conference on August 30, 2011.
As he's talking, look who comes in with a samurai sword and clears house.
Yep, Kana.
I think her glare alone would be enough to clear out a room, but add the sword to it...

I keep thinking I'm gonna give nagashimark a break, but with great Japanese female wrestling videos like this one, who can? This one is a match between two great Joshi wrestlers, Mima Shimoda and Etsuko Mita that took place in the NEO wrestling promotion in 1998.
Mima was born on 23, 1970 and she made her pro wrestling debut against Etsuko Mita back in 1987 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
Etsuko was born on May 28, 1969 in Toyko and at one time was part of a very successful tag-team with Mima. She is also credited with creating the "Death Valley Driver", a brutal finishing move that is a brainbuster type slam performed from a fireman's carry. I have also heard that the move is banned in some promotions for being too dangerous.
This video has the two former tag-team partners facing off, and it seems there is a great deal of animosity between them.
They face off, trade a few opening moves and size each other up.
Etsuko get Mima down early on, and Mima retaliates by biting her on the knee.
Etsuko gets Mima down and clamps on a figure four leg-lock.
Which puts Mima in a world of hurt.
Mima escapes the figure four, and clamps one of her own on Etsuko.
Not satisfied with that, Mima rolls her over and applies a toe-hold.
But Etsuko escapes and the match goes out of the wrestling ring and into the crowd.
