Mimi Hagiwara and Jaguar Yokota taking on Devil Masami and Tarantula

Here is a video of  Mimi Hagiwara and Jaguar Yokota taking on Devil Masami and Tarantula (Wild Kazuki).
This match is from January 4th, 1983 and took place at the Korakuen Hall in Japan.
Devil Masami and Tarantula were the WWWA World Tag Team Champions.

Watching this video I realized that I had forgotten just how strong Devil was.
I really think that she could have won the match alone.

She pretty much brutalizes Mimi and Jaguar both.

Hibiscus Mii - Japanese Female Wrestling

Hibiscus Mii is a Japanese female wrestler that works for the Ryukyu Dragon Pro Wrestling promotion.
If you have followed Joshi you may know her by another name...Apple Miyuki.
Although she has also wrestled as Cosmic Warrior Justine and Miyuki Matsuyama.
She was trained by Japanese wrestler (and MMA fighter) Taka Michinoku, and made her debut on January 14th, 2002.
The "The Sadistic Princess" uses a move called the Apple Buster as her finishing move, which is a Spinning headlock elbow drop.

Makoto - Japanese Female Wrestlers

Makoto was born on September 26th, 1989 in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.
She is five foot four and weighs 114 pounds.

Makoto made her pro wrestling debut on July 25th, 2006 at Sakura Hall in Japan.
She has worked for Japanese wrestling promotions like Ice Ribbon, Smash, Wrestling New Classic and Reina.

Makoto has held the ICE×60 Championship, the International Ribbon Tag Team Championship twice, once with Etsuko Mita and once with Emi Sakura.
She held the WEW Hardcore Tag Team Championship with Bambi, the WNC Women's Championship and she has held the Reina World Tag Team Championship three times, with Kaho Kobayashi, Ariya and Rina Yamashita.

Misaki Ohata Wrestling Ayako Sato

Here is a match posted by nagashimark on YouTube, of Misaki Ohata taking on Ayako Sato.
This match was for the Sendai Girls wrestling promotion on April 20th, 2008.


Misaki Ohata has shown up a few times on this blog.
She was trained by the famous Mariko Yoshida and worked for many wrestling promotions in Japan like JDStar.
You can see her now in the US with Shimmer.


Ayako Sato has wrestled for JWP, NEO and if I'm not mistaken, has done some Olympic-style wrestling as well.

After the introductions, we jump right into the match where Ayako has Misaki trapped in a leg lock.

Misaki manages to slip out of that and trap Ayako in a figure four headscissors.

That doesn't last for long though as Ayako slips out of that hold and clamps on a double leg lock.

Which then then transitions into a bow and arrow.

Misaki escapes, but Ayako literally rocks her world with some devastating dropkicks and goes for a pin.
Unfortunately for Ayako, Misaki kicks out, then catches her in an arm bar.

Ai Fujita wrestling AKINO

Here is some more female wrestling from YouTube.
This was for the ARSION wrestling promotion in Japan and it's Ai Fujita wrestling AKINO for the Sky High of Arsion title on March 24th, 2003.
The video was posted by nagashimark (who else?)


Ai Fujita started out with her pro wrestling debut in Mexico first (in 1998) then her Japanese wrestling debut (in 1999).


AKINO made her pro wrestling debut the same year (1998).


The match starts out fast and furious with Ai gaining a slight upper hand, but AKINO quickly comes back and puts an end to Ai's high-flying antics by grounding her and going to work with some submission moves.

Japanese female wrestler Aiko Kyo was born in 1948.
She worked for AJW (All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling) her entire career.
Aiko held the World Women’s Wrestling Association (WWWA) World Championship three times (being the first Japanese woman to hold the title) and was one half of the WWWA Tag Team Wrestling champions three times with Jumbo Miyamoto.

Born: October 30th, 1957 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan
Pro wrestling debut: April 27th, 1975 against Maki Ueda.
Wrestling Promotions: AJW, Japanese Women's Pro

On February 24, 1976 Jackie formed the famous Japanese female tag team the Beauty Pair with Maki.
They held the WWWA World Tag Team Championship twice.
Jackie passed away on August 9th, 1999 at the age of 41.

Female Japanese wrestler Mika Akino, better known simply as AKINO, was born on October 24th, 1973 in Tokyo, Japan.
She started later in the sport than most joshi wrestlers, debuting at the age of 25.
In 2004 she had two female MMA matches and won them both.

Titles held: Sky High of ARSION (twice), Twin Star of ARSION (once with Ayako Hamada), JWP Tag Team Championship (once with Tsubasa Kuragaki).
Wrestling moves: Aki Imploder (Wrist-clutch exploder suplex), Double knee backbreaker, Noki-A Special (Reverse Enzuigiri to the back of the opponent's head), Back suplex, Cross armbar, Suicide dive, Tornado DDT

Sakura Hirota - Japanese Women Wrestling

Japanese female wrestler Sakura Hirota was born on April 12th 1978 in Aichi, Japan.
She made her pro wrestling debut on August 12th 1996 in Tokyo, alongside Chigusa Nagayo in a match against Aja Kong and Yoshiko Tamura.
Sakura is one of the wrestlers that went into comedy style wrestling.
She's known for making her own wrestling belts out of cardboard and carrying them to the ring like they were real.
Sakura worked for Chigusa Nagayo's GAEA promotion from 1995 until it closed and now works for NEO and WAVE.
She is five foot three and weighs 143 pounds.
